Your colleagues at John Muir Palliative Care Team wrote,
“Susan is an incredible and heavily talented palliative nurse at the inpatient setting at John Muir Hospital. She goes above and beyond for families and colleagues on a daily basis. She delivers care to our families and patients in the most tender, compassionate way. She raises her hand to help others, step in with challenging cases and works masterfully with the interdisciplinary team. She is bright, lively, upbeat and energized! I nominate her because she’s a terrific colleague, and she is deeply passionate about this work. She is the mother to two children and the wife to a wonderful husband. Her family lost her beloved son to cancer some years ago. She utilized her skills to care for her son, and knew when to step back and let colleagues, at the Bruns House staff step in. She is remarkable”.
Congratulations Susan!
